Regulations regarding relocation has been amended

The regulations regarding relocation has been amended on 15

May 2020.

Persons may now move for the following reasons:

  1. Relocating to a new place of residence;
  2. The movement is necessitated due to domestic violence; or
  3. A business moves to a new premises.

It seems that the limit of transfers before lockdown has been removed and thus, if registration of transfer takes place (even during the levelled lockdown), you are allowed to relocate, as long as you have proof of registration.

In case of lease agreements, the same rules apply as previously – meaning, proof of the new lease must be provided.

You are still required to obtain a permit from the police station commander or his/her delegate.
